My name is Jack Andersen and I am a Junior at Waukee Northwest High School. I am enrolled in publications, where I am as Tenth Street Times’s web editor. In addition to editing articles, I also take pictures for our class, write articles, run our social media page, create yearbook pages, and help to lead our 21 staffers every day. This is my second year on The Tenth Street Times staff. Last year, I took pictures, wrote articles, and created yearbook pages for our class.

When I am not in publications I love to participate in theatre, take photos with my friends, perform in show choir and support all of our high school’s activities. In addition to leading publications, I am on our Random Acts of Kindness Leadership team and am the Community Outreach Chair for our thespian troupe.

I began photography at the beginning of my sophomore year and ultimately fell in love with it. I have been able to grow my abilities through our publications class and through Advanced Photography at Media Now, a summer journalism camp hosted at Drake University.
