ABOUT ME

My name is Jack Andersen and I am a senior at Waukee Northwest High School! I am enrolled in publications, where I am as Tenth Street Times’s Web Editor. In addition to editing articles, I also take pictures for our class, write articles, assist our Media Manager in running our social media page, create yearbook pages, and help lead our 25 reporters every day. This is my third year on The Tenth Street Times staff. Next year, I plan on attending the University of Missouri to study journalism (with a concentration in Photojournalism and Documentary) and Theatre Arts.

When I am not in publications I love to participate in theatre, take photos with my friends, perform in show choir, and support all of our high school’s activities. In addition to leading publications, I am the President of our Random Acts of Kindness Club, Vice-President of our Thespian Troupe, and PR Manager of our National Honor Society Chapter.

I began photography at the beginning of my sophomore year and ultimately fell in love with it. I have been able to grow my abilities through our publications class and through Advanced Photography at Media Now, a summer journalism camp hosted at Drake University.
